  • Document Quality Control Specialist

Document Quality Control Specialist

Salamandra is currently seeking an entry-level Quality Control (QC) Specialist who would play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of documents prepared by Salamandra in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Primary Responsibilities and Duties

    • Verifying numerical data against the original source
    • Confirming that non-numeric information presented reflects the source
    • Ensuring consistency of appearance and adherence to an agreed-upon Style Guide, including format, use of abbreviations, and references cited
    • Confirming cross-references in a document are accurate
    • Supporting the Quality Assurance team in the development and ongoing maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures
    • Other duties as assigned, which may include some administrative support

    • Highly attentive to detail
    • Very strong in written and verbal communications, with a developed knowledge of English usage (grammar, spelling, punctuation, and language usage)
    • Able to work on complex projects concurrently and meet deadlines
    • Able to work in a cross-functional matrixed organization
    • Friendly and collaborative
    • Self-motivated, seeks ways to enhance team contributions by taking on new challenges and willing to learn
  • Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to facilitate working in a small-group technical environment
    • Prior experience with quality control/quality assurance or proofreading/editing responsibilities is a plus
    • In depth familiarity with the advanced features of the Microsoft Office applications suite is expected
    • Authorization to work in the US without time limitations
